ALVARADO SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST WOMEN MINISTRY
MISSION

To act as Disciples of Christ by serving others and spreading God’s word.

OUR OBJECTIVES ARE :

To grow our faith in knowledge of God through personal and group Bible study.
To encourage women to use their talents and spiritual gifts for God’s service.
To mentor young women, teens, and girls.
To build and maintain support networks among women.
To reach our witnessing potential through ministries hi the home, church and community.

Womens Ministry started in 1898. Mrs. S. M. I. Henry, with encouragement of Ellen White, headed a church department for Women’s Ministry.
We meet on the third Sunday of each month from 10:00 to about 11:30 at the Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship room at the church.

It is a group of ladies that pray together and discuss how to minister by either helping in some way that will make someone else’s life a little easier and happier. We help to give someone piece of mind.

“We may do a noble work for God if we will. Woman does not know her power for God.. .There is a higher purpose for woman, a grander destiny. She should develop and cultivate her powers, for God can employ them hi the great work of saving souls from eternal ruin.” (Testimonies to the Church, Vol. 4. P. 642, and Evangelism, p. 465 )
